I presume everything is also terminated in a cinnamon restart. It should have fixed the problem. Do you want to continue [Y/n]?
That indicates a bug in Cinnamon's applet API, and possibly a security hole as well. We don't like this, but it's part of a lower library we don't have control of. It happens pretty much as I log in based on the dmesg time stamp (40-58 seconds). I had 4 different terminals open on different workspaces. Actually, I fixed or just enhanced some likely unrelated things and the result did not crash cinnamon any more. Debian 7.0 wheezy I am using. The installed system on KmLXDE HD040 has been updated & rebooted with no problems.
